6 Great Bubble Bath Benefits

Bubble bath

If you have been looking for a reason to hop in your tub, look no further. There is truly no better feeling than a hot bubble bath with your favorite scented bath bomb, a glass of wine, and your favorite Netflix show. Not a regular bubble bath-er? We are here to change that. In addition to bubble baths being a great excuse to sit back and relax with a glass of wine, there are actually many great health benefits to taking a bubble bath – giving you the perfect reason to add bubble baths to your health and wellness routine.

Cleanses and detoxes.

First, bubble baths are an awesome way to cleanse your body and give yourself a full detox. A warm bath helps to remove any impurities on your skin that may have accumulated over the course of the day, and also helps to remove dead skin cells. Not to mention, taking a hot bubble bath will inevitably cause you to sweat, which helps toxins to leave your body, and helps to boost your lymphatic system. Be sure that when you are taking a bath you are using soaps and body washes that are made of quality ingredients, so that you do not run into any problems with skin irritation.

Great way to relax and boost your mood – and help you sleep better.

We know bubble baths are a great way to relax, which can be the best feeling after a long day. This is also a great way to help improve your mental health overall, by allowing yourself to destress and feel like you are being pampered. Submerging yourself in heated water helps to reduce stress and anxiety, while also calming the nervous system. This will ultimately boost your mood and leave you feeling happier and more re-energized. Taking a bubble bath is also a great thing to incorporate into your bedtime routine, as you will feel so relaxed after the bath that you will ultimately be able to get a better night’s sleep.

Helps to hydrate and heal skin.

If you have been trying to fight a skin condition, such as any dry or rough patches, skin irritations, or eczema, a hot bath is the perfect solution for you. Not only are baths great for skin conditions, but they also help to hydrate your skin. Everyone knows how important it is to keep ourselves hydrated, and it is just important for our skin to get that same amount of hydration as well!

Soothes sore muscles.

Have you been hitting the gym extra lately? Or perhaps you are dealing with an injury such as a pulled muscle? Bubble baths are a great way to help reduce any inflammation and pain that you are dealing with. Similarly, to a heating pad, when submerged in hot water, our muscles are able to relax and lower tensions as your blood flow is getting stimulated. As your blood gets flowing, which also helps to improve circulation, your muscles will reap the benefits! And, if you have any Epsom salt on hand, this is a great addition to the bath to help relieve those aches and pains.

Burns calories.

The more you sweat, the more calories you burn. This rings true in the bathtub as well! Getting a good sweat in while you are in a hot bath can burn as many calories as a brisk walk. While you should not totally rid yourself of exercise, as movement is extremely important for the body, this is a great way to get some extra calories burnt throughout the day.
