Seaside Home Décor

One of the best parts about having the ability to decorate your house any way that you want is that no matter where you are located, or what season you are in, you can dress up rooms to make you feel as if you are in another world! Even if you do not live near the beach, or you are experiencing some heavy snow in the winter months, the rooms within your home can still make you feel like you are enjoying a nice sunny, breezy day in the summer on the coast. Here are some of our favorite ways to incorporate the seaside within your home decorating, so you can enjoy the feeling of summer within your home all year long!

  • Nautical stripes. Incorporating nautical stripes is an awesome way to showcase your love for the ocean, boats and everything in between. You can incorporate the stripes on furniture, through décor hung on the wall such as a painting or clock, wallpaper in a room or your comforter and sheets of your bed. There are so many different ways to enjoy this coastal-themed pattern.
  • Wicker. Anything that is wicker – we are in for! Look for different wicker items to have throughout your home such as wicker chairs, side tables in your living room or bedroom, or even wicker décor to serve as a centerpiece on your kitchen table.
  • Shades of blue or neutral themes. Everyone attributes the color blue to a bright, clear sky or the ocean! Look at including different shades of the color throughout the rooms of your home, such as seafoam blue, light blue or turquoise. Using more rich and saturated blues pairs wonderfully with anything made of wood or whites within your home. If you are more of a neutral person, incorporate whites and different shades of tan for a clean, summer look.
