For true foodies, there is nothing more exciting than trying out a new restaurant, especially in a beautiful, fun location! Visiting a new restaurant gives you the opportunity to visit a new place that you have not been before as well as be introduced to some unique dishes and drinks that you have never tried. And, what is better than trying out a new place that you know is “foodie accredited?” This week, we’re featuring some of “Britt’s Best Bites’” favorite coastal locations that are an absolute must to add to your restaurant bucket list. If you are in any of the following areas, be sure to give these restaurants a try (you won’t regret it!):
South Shore: Plymouth, MA: Rio Brazilian Steakhouse
For those who love a good steakhouse but are interested in a fun, unique twist, Rio Brazilian Steakhouse is a must-visit if you are in the Plymouth area. Best known for its colorful setting, fine dining and fun Brazilian and “rodizio” style fare, Rio’s allows guests to watch their dishes get prepared and cooked over their grill and serves fresh skewers right to your table!
Cape Cod & Islands: Chatham, MA: The Blue Coral
The Blue Coral is a great stop for the most delicious, mouthwatering island-inspired cocktails that are paired with various dishes on their fish-focused menu. Known as Chatham’s “hidden oasis,” The Blue Coral is an outdoor restaurant that can be enjoyed in-season for a casual lunch, cozy dinner or for some vibrant, fun night life!
South Coast: Seekonk, MA: Country Kitchen
Breakfast served all day?! Count me in. At Country Kitchen you can enjoy a homey vibe while indulging in your favorite breakfast foods – no matter what time it is. If breakfast isn’t your thing, you can enjoy some of the additional American fare items that are on the menu. Here, you can sit back and relax with delicious food and great prices – what more could you ask for?!
Rhode Island: Cranston, RI: The Big Cheese & Pub
Any restaurant with “cheese” in the name is right up my alley. The Big Cheese & Pub is known for its full bar, outstanding pizzas, pastas, calzones and other Italian dishes. They have been open for more than 45 years due to their hospitality, attention to detail and of course, their delicious menu made with fresh ingredients (their pizza dough and bread is prepared every morning!)
East Bay & Aquidneck Island: Jamestown, RI: Slice of Heaven
The name of this restaurant says it all. At Slice of Heaven, a homey daytime café known as Jamestown’s favorite meeting place, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, bakery goods, summer gelato as well as wine, beer and cocktails! Indulge in their artisan sandwiches that they are best known for and top it off with a sweet treat. This is a great place for a quick pick-me-up and awesome place to spend time with family, friends or co-workers!
