Visiting a new restaurant gives you the opportunity to visit a new place that you have not been before as well as be introduced to some unique dishes and drinks that you have never tried. And, what is better than trying out a new place that you know is “foodie accredited?” This week, we’re featuring some of “Britt’s Best Bites’” favorite coastal locations that are an absolute must to add to your restaurant bucket list. South Shore: Lucky Dawg Tavern & Grill in Pembroke, MA
Lucky Dawg has been open since 2008 when owners Mike Johnson and John Meade came together to create the perfect family style tavern and grille. This is the perfect spot to spend time with family and friends for a big game, or just to enjoy the outdoors on their beautiful outdoor patio.
Cape Cod & Islands: The Port Restaurant in Harwich Port, MA
The Port is so much more than just a restaurant, it’s a place for entertainment and just an awesome spot to hang out! At The Port, you are not only just a few blocks away from beaches and harbors, but you can also enjoy upscale dining, live music, corn hole, ring toss and a local raw bar. The Port Restaurant has it all!
South Coast: Roger’s Family Restaurant in Somerset, MA
Roger’s Family Restaurant has been open since 1959, and at Roger’s, you can always count on getting the best food at the best prices. All of their food is prepared in-house by chefs who use their creative talents to combine with classic family recipes that you won’t find elsewhere! You can dine in at Roger’s for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner.
West Bay & South County: The Haversham in Westerly, RI
The Haversham Tavern is a 19th century tavern that is perfect for a nice lunch, cocktails or a night out for dinner. They have something for everyone on the menu, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, they’ve got you covered! Not to mention, they have 24 assorted drafts on tap. At Haversham, you can also enjoy prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as live entertainment at 9 PM!
East Bay & Aquidneck Island: Statesman Tavern in Bristol, RI
Statesman Tavern offers delicious food and a beautiful view – all at the same time! They opened up in 2017 and are best known for their ingredient-driven cuisine, heirloom vegetables and responsibly raised meat, poultry and fresh caught fish. Statesman also has a great bar, with infused spirits, fresh juices, homemade bitters and syrups and outstanding bartenders!
