Looking for a new spot for fine dining? Look no further than Menton in Boston, MA!

Menton is known for its beautifully executed cuisine, unparalleled wine program, warm hospitality, as well as a glamorous setting. It is located in The Fort Point neighborhood’s urban cityscape, with its blend of historic brick buildings and sleek, futuristic design statements.

The restaurant prides itself on using pristine ingredients and refined techniques, which are the basis for the seasonally inspired menus. Menton features a six-seat bar, with additional seating for ten at tables along a banquette, with expertly crafted cocktails and an approachable menu of comforting classics. The carefully curated wine list highlights small grower champagnes and rare vintages from lesser-known vineyards.

Menton opened in 2010, and since then has received numerous accolades, including a 4-star review from The Boston Globe, the recognition as one of Bon Appetit and Esquire magazine’s best new restaurants in 2010, and a James Beard Foundation Award nomination in 2011 for Best New Restaurant.

If you are looking to host an event, Menton has you covered! Menton has two gorgeous private event spaces perfect for gathering with colleagues, friends, or family. The elegant Private Dining Room overlooks Congress Street and seats up to 45, while the Chef’s Table, a room with panoramic views of the kitchen, seats up to 12.

While each ingredient is carefully sourced by the chefs, every element of the space, from the French linens to the Austrian wine glasses, are also thoughtfully selected to enhance the entire dining experience. The interior of the restaurant was designed by Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz, long-time collaborators, and reflects Chef Barbara’s vision of fine dining: a marriage of luxury, whimsy, elegance, comfort, and surprise.

For drinks, some of my favorite cocktails include the Village Margarita, the Espresso Martini, as well as the Solstice.

  • The Village Margarita is mixed with single village mezcal, fresh citrus, and agave.
  • The Espresso Martini, the best cocktail to end a meal with, is mixed with ler cru cognac, la colombe, and cocoa.
  • The Solstice is perfect for vodka lovers, mixed with Grey goose, kumquat, and absinthe.

If you are not drinking alcohol, try one of Menton’s refreshing mocktails, the No Fashioned and the Amandir.

  • The No Fashioned is served with spiritless Kentucky 74, demerara, and without bitters.
  • And the Amandir is served with orgeat and no gin or bitters.
