For true foodies, there is nothing more exciting than trying out a new restaurant, especially in a beautiful, fun location! Visiting a new restaurant gives you the opportunity to visit a new place that you have not been before as well as be introduced to some unique dishes and drinks that you have never tried. And, what is better than trying out a new place that you know is “foodie accredited?” This week, we’re featuring some of “Britt’s Best Bites” favorite coastal locations that are an absolute must to add to your restaurant bucket list. If you are in any of the following areas, be sure to give these restaurants a try (you won’t regret it!):
South Shore: Hingham, MA: Boathouse Bistro & Pizzeria
Calling all Italian food lovers – this restaurant should move to the top of your list. Boathouse Bistro is best known for its fresh Italian cuisine, including some of the most delicious pizza with house made sauce or Veal Parmigiana! This is the perfect place to spend time with family and friends or for date night. Not to mention, it is in the historic Hingham Shipyard, so you will get to enjoy stunning views throughout your meal.
Cape Cod & Islands: Chatham, MA: The Corner Store
The Corner Store is arguably one of the best hidden gems in all of Chatham. If you are looking for a quick meal, or a great option to-go, The Corner Store has some of the most delicious paninis and burritos of all time. As a burrito connoisseur, I can attest that The Corner Store truly gives Chipotle a run for its money. And, for dessert, top off your sandwich or burrito with one of their outstanding homemade whoopie pies.
South Coast: Wareham, MA: Lindsey’s Family Restaurant
Lindsey’s has been around since 1948 – and for good reason. This restaurant has been serving its homemade food for many years and is historically one of the best restaurants on the south coast. They are very well known for their fresh seafood, right out of the Cape Cod waters, and are even very frequently used for catering.
Rhode Island: Providence, RI: Al Forno Restaurant
Al Forno has had its doors open since 1980 and is a very popular go-to restaurant in Providence for dishes such as grilled pizza, “dirty steak” with hot fanny sauce, clams al forno and a wide variety of different baked pastas. For
dessert, they offer hand-churned ice cream to top it all off! This is a great restaurant to visit for some delicious Italian food and great history.
East Bay & Aquidneck Island: Newport, RI: Diego’s
For some of the most delicious margaritas, nachos and Mexican dishes around, Diego’s is the place to be in Newport. Located right in the heart of downtown Newport, Diego’s offers great views of the water, is located very centrally with a lot to do, and is a fun spot to relax and enjoy modern Mexican food with family and friends.
