The Mill Wharf Restaurant is located on the site of the original mill, offering a gorgeous panoramic view from every side. At The Mill Wharf, you can catch a glimpse of the continual movement of fishing boats and pleasure craft in and out of the harbor, passing by the lighthouse and through the open waters of the Atlantic.
On a nice, warm summer day, you can dine on the deck while indulging in The Mill Wharf’s delicious seafood specials, including the raw bar which is set up for your choice of appetizers to accompany cocktails or your favorite beverage.
If opting to dine inside, you can view historic artifacts and antiques contrast with contemporary architecture and cathedral ceilings. The Mill Wharf can hold around 200 seats with an additional 100 on the deck.
Check out some of my favorite dishes and drinks that you can enjoy at The Mill Wharf this Spring and Summer season!
THE BEST BITES.
To start, try the homemade chili, nachos, lump crab cake, or the tuna poke.
- The homemade chili is served with gooey Monterey jack on top, cheddar cheese, as well as sour cream.
- The nachos are a perfect starter to share, topped with Monterey jack and cheddar cheese, onion, tomato, jalapenos, salsa, and sour cream and chili.
- The lump crab cake is served with roasted corn, bacon, tomato, and scallions, served with corn cream Beurre blanc.
- And the tuna poke is diced tuna topped with mango, red peppers and onion, coconut, wasabi ginger, sriracha mayo, and wonton chips.
If you’re in the mood for a salad as your entrée, I love the strawberry, avocado and arugula salad, as well as the Greek salad.
- The strawberry, avocado and arugula salad is mixed with grape tomatoes and red onions, tossed in a light balsamic vinaigrette.
- The Greek salad is mixed with mixed greens, kalamata olives, feta cheese, pepperoncini peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions.
Some house specialties from The Mill Wharf include the lobster mac & cheese, the baked scrod, the sweet potato encrusted haddock, as well as the chicken Milanese.
- The lobster mac & cheese is served with freshly shucked lobster with cavatelli pasta, gruyere cheese and parmesan cheeses.
- The baked scrod is known as a house favorite, served with fresh cod topped with seasoned Ritz cracker crumbs and lemon butter, as well as two sides.
- The sweet potato encrusted haddock is topped with a sambal aioli served over mixed greens with grapes and onions, dressed in blue agave and lemon nectar.
- And the chicken Milanese is hand-breaded pounded chicken breast paired with a fresh arugula salad, grape tomato, shaved asiago, a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette, and a lemon garnish.
Lastly, if you are a pizza lover, you must try the prosciutto & fig pizza, topped with caramelized onions, mission figs, prosciutto, gorgonzola, fresh mozzarella, and arugula with balsamic and truffle oil drizzle.
THE SEASIDE SIPS.
The Mill Wharf is not only a great place to dine in, but also to grab some drinks!
Some of my favorite cocktails include the Paloma Picante, the Passion Fruit Mule, the 1984 Tito’s Bloody Mary, as well as the Spiked Cocoa.
- The Paloma Picante is mixed with Tanteo, lemon juice, as well as grapefruit, and is super refreshing. The Passion Fruit Mule is mixed with Absolut, chinola, lime, and ginger beer.
- The 1984 Tito’s Bloody Mary is mixed with Tito’s handmade vodka, signature mix, celery, olive, and lime.
- And the Spiked Cocoa is a great drink to wrap up a delicious meal, mixed with Lunazul reposado, St. Elder, hot chocolate, and whipped cream.
