‘Tis the Season to Indulge in New England’s Finest Food and Drink

It’s officially the holiday season, and what better way to spend the rest of 2021 than with family and friends at some of the most outstanding restaurants in New England? We have rounded up some of our favorite spots with a variety of different ambiances and vibes that are guaranteed to blow your taste buds away.

MARINA BAY

—

REELHOUSE

ReelHouse is a gorgeous waterfront restaurant that sits on the boardwalk of Marina Bay. The restaurant features nautical décor with a distinctive yacht like design. They have globally influenced seafood menu, tropical cocktails, and a great, fun atmosphere! Whether you’re stopping in for a few drinks, brunch, lunch, or dinner, there is truly something for everyone on the menu!

An absolute must-try whether you are dining in for brunch, lunch, or dinner, is the Mezze Plate, which is a selection of dips, feta, olives, and pita chips. Essentially, this appetizer is every Greek food lover’s dream. For brunch, if you are in the mood for something sweet, order the Sweet Ricotta Toast. This toast is topped with strawberries and cocoa powder and is unbelievably delicious. Plus, who doesn’t love a breakfast item that doubles as a dessert?

For cocktails, ReelHouse is known for having the perfect Espresso Martini. So, you cannot visit without ordering one if you are a cocktail lover (and if you want to fully immerse yourself in the Boston experience!) For a fruitier option, you will be obsessed with the Navy Yard Spritz, made with Berto Aperitivo, strawberry, blackberry, and prosecco.

VICTORY POINT

Victory Point is the reimagined waterfront restaurant and bar located in Marina Bay.  You can also count on delicious, fresh meals for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

My favorite entrée at Victory Point is a classic Steak Sandwich, which comes with American cheese, arugula, spicy aioli, and French fries. This sandwich has an extra little kick of spice, so for spicy food lovers, you will be loving this entrée! Victory Point also has some of the crispiest and best French fries around. The restaurant also has a lot of great appetizer options such as Steak and cheese Spring rolls, crab cakes for the seafood lovers, and more!

To experience the deliciousness of an Espresso Martini while staying in the Fall spirit, check out Victory Point’s Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini, which has a sweet cinnamon sugary rim! This is the perfect cocktail to fully immerse yourself into the holiday season (and, trust me, you won’t be able to stop at just one!)

THE CHANTEY

If you are looking for a pub-like feel, look no further than The Chantey in Marina Bay! They cater to residents, boaters, and locals, and provides top-notch service. With a super comfortable setting, all your favorite bar snacks, and so much more. On the weekends, you can head to The Chantey for a fun night out with DJs as well as for some karaoke with friends!

Chip and dip lovers – listen up! You have to start out a meal at The Chantey with their Buffalo Chicken Dip. This buffalo chicken dip is out-of-this-world and is the perfect combination of cheesy and spicy goodness. Also, it is the perfect appetizer to order if you are visiting The Chantey for football Sunday.

For an entrée, the Chantey Chicken Sandwich is mouthwatering. This sandwich has grilled chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, barbecue ranch sauce, lettuce and tomato, and is served on a fresh, bulky roll.

The Chantey has the perfect winter, festive cocktails for the holiday season. If you are looking for a vodka beverage, the Gingerbread White Russian is made with stoli vanil vodka, Kahlua, cinnamon, ginger, and milk. This cocktail legitimately tastes like a dessert!

For a martini, if your favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, you’re in luck. The Chantey serves up a Cinnamon Toast Crunch martini to really heat things up!

PROVIDENCE

ROOFTOP AT PROVIDENCE G

The Rooftop at Providence G is a fun, trendy spot to enjoy new American cuisine, sip on some of the trendiest cocktails of all time and listen to some live entertainment. The Rooftop at Providence G is truly and Instagram lover’s dream. Not only is it totally chic, but it also features food and drink that you will not forget. Located right in the center of downtown Providence, you will also be able to soak in the gorgeous city views.

Enjoy the Autumn Salad if you are looking for a fresh option that is tasty and seasonal. The Autumn Salad is mixed with baby greens, cranberries, roasted squash, beets, candied pecans and herb goat cheese. If you are a goat cheese lover like me, you will be all over this salad! For seafood lovers, try the Halibut, which comes with a Squash puree, beluga lentils, white wine cream, as well as a butternut-sage sauce.

For some seasonal cocktails, try the Fall Sangria and Cider 75. The Fall Sangria is every wine lover’s dream. Made with white wine, Jim Beam fire, apple cider, High Limb Cider “Pumpkin Spice,” as well as cinnamon simple. The Cider 75 is a great citrusy option, made with gin, lemon, and High Limb Cider “Core.”

MARCELINO’S BOUTIQUE BAR

Marcelino’s is one of Providence’s hottest spots for a night out with friends and family, or for a date night! They provide a journey from the Mediterranean right to Rhode Island, with Mid-Terranean fusion Mezze and world class cocktails. Not to mention, it has a gorgeous, casual atmosphere that you will never want to leave!

The two plates that you must not leave Marcelino’s without ordering are the Armenian Flatbread as well as the Portobello Halloumi Mushroom. The Armenian Flatbread is topped with Armenian pastrami, a mix of creamy cheese, sundried tomato, and wild thyme, as well as roasted walnut, sliced parmesan, and baby arugula. Finally, it is drizzled with a glazed balsamic. The Portobello Halloumi Mushroom comes with two oven baked marinated mushrooms with basil oil, stuffed with halloumi cheese, crispy bacon, and wild tomato with toasted sesame. This dish is drizzled and topped with pomegranate molasses.

Marcelino’s has a reputation for some of the most uniquely crafted cocktails of all time, and these two cocktails will truly blow you away. First up is the Saffron / Fig which is mixed with vodka, Cocchi Americano, Saffron, fig leaves, and olive oil. And the Sesame / Honey is mixed with Beefeater gin, smoked honey citrus, and sesame oil. These cocktails are guaranteed to be like nothing you have ever tasted before, in the best way possible!

BELLINI

For some sophisticated dining in Providence, check out Bellini. Where you can expect a relaxed vibe, wonderful European service. The menu features a modern take on authentic Italian cuisine, as well as carefully selected Italian wines, cocktails, spirits, and light snacks.

For a delectable seafood option, order the Chilean Sea Bass “alla Carlina”. Which comes with roasted artichokes as well as potatoes. This Sea Bass is the perfect mixture of  tender, buttery, and flavorful! And, of course, you cannot visit Bellini without ordering some of their homemade pasta. The Tortelli with Spinach and Ricotta. This is hands down the most delicious Tortelli that I have ever tasted.

For cocktails, you must order the classic Bellini, mixed with White Peach Purée and Mr. C Prosecco. This cocktail, created in 1948 is one that will truly never get old and is perfect for anyone. And you can never go wrong with the Aperol Spritzer.
